New Sheraton Website Allows Guests To Share Experience

As reported on Starwood’s blog site, The Lobby, and Hotel Blogs, Sheraton has launched its new website which allows consumers to post pictures and share their hotel experience online. In addition to being featured on the main Sheraton site, guests that share their travel story on the Sherabration promotion site will be entered to win 5 rooms for 5 nights with round trip airfare for 5 along with $5000 in spending money and 5 digital cameras.

On the redesigned main site users can also view the new Sheraton “Belong” television commercial, which shows a sequence of video moments of all types of people, sending the message that regardless of your background, “You don’t just stay here, You belong”.

The redesign of the website should prove to be a great addition for Starwood and its Sheraton brand. It will allow them to gather feedback and other additional data, move traffic away from third-party review sites, and most importantly engage their guests. Those that share their experiences online can also share their link to their story with friends and family, which should provide substantial and invaluable word-of-mouth advertising.
