In an effort to cater to male travelers often taking vacations to reunite with fellow colleagues once or twice a year, many hotels are providing unique travel packages called “mancations”.
Some of the things hotels are offering include: hand-rolled cigars, personalized mini bars, sports tickets, luxury rental cars, 24-hour concierge and butler service, penthouse rooms equipped with private terraces, golf, fishing expeditions, poker, surfing and race-driving instruction, whiskey tasting, seminars on style and entertainment, and man-friendly spa treatments.
Hotels with a knack for these mancations include the new Regent South Beach (Miami), the Wild Dunes Resort (Isle of Palms, SC), the Marquis Los Cabos Resort (Los Cabos, Mexico), the Harbor Beach Resort & Spa (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), the Hotel Fauchere (Milford, PA), and about half of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts fifty hotels.
